Every story starts with an idea.
Sometimes it is a character, a scene, a line of dialogue, or simply a thought that refuses to go away. TypeDing was created around a simple question:
What if screenplay software could stay out of the writer's way?
TypeDing is a cloud-based storytelling and screenplay writing tool designed to make the journey from idea → story → screenplay feel natural.
Instead of making writers constantly think about formatting, TypeDing handles the little things — scene headings, characters, dialogue, parentheticals and transitions — so the writer can focus on the story.
Why “TypeDing”?
The name comes from something wonderfully old-school: the bell of a typewriter.
You type, type, type… Ding! The bell rings at the end of the line.
We liked that feeling. It represents a small moment of progress — one line completed, one thought captured, one more step toward a finished story.
Type + Ding = TypeDing.
